Brachmann Looks to Slide One Past Mr Smallblock

Chad Brachmann found himself in a position he's not used to being in regularly at the Merrittville Speedway during the first half of the modified feature. The lead. Brachmann took advantage of a few early incidents to work his way to the front on lap 14, after starting 14th for tonights feature with Pete Bicknell deep in the field after having to qualify through the consi. Brachmann would lead the next 12 laps while Pete put the pedal to the floor in hopes to reel in CB3 who had checked out on the high side of the speedway. Caution flew on lap 26 for Scott Wood who was dumped on the back straight by Matt Williamson and what came next was probably the best 12 laps of racing any local fan has seen so far in 2011. Brachmann and Bicknell would swap positions on the speedway several times wth Brachmann attempting to slide job the 20 time track champion 3 times in turns 3 and 4 only to have the momentum taken right back at the other end of the d shaped oval. A last lap dash on the high side would leave Brachmann a car length behind as he crossed the finish line and a second place finish that many fans would admire and look on to cheer.

The holiday weekend has only just begun for CB3, as he and the team will invade the Utica Rome Speedway for both their regular sunday night program tomorrow as well as the Victoria 200 on Memorial Day. We invite you to join us at this first class facility for a first class event and some great racing.

Happy Memorial Day from all of us at Brachmann Racing as we thank each and every one of our service men and women who help us protect the freedom we enjoy everyday and allow us to compete in such a great sport week in and week out.

Thank You Heroes!
